Final Tokyo Trip Part 1: Sakura in Shinjuku Gyoen

On March 21st we started out the day in Harajuku. I had sort of planned on us eating lunch at the Pom Pom Purin Cafe, but they were giving out tickets to return at a later time (like I had suspected). We got tickets to return around 4:45. So then we headed to McDonald's for lunch.

On the way we passed by several stores. Those sheer skirts are super popular right now and I saw them in so many stores!

We found a spot overlooking Omotesando street and enjoyed the view. I really love that McDonald's!

Jonathan and I got a hazelnut latte from the McCafe counter to share.

It was fancy and super delicious. So pretty!

While eating we decided to go to Shinjuku Gyoen for a while since the weather was nice and it's not too far from Harajuku.

The first flowering tree I saw when we entered the park was a pretty magnolia.

It was a bit early for most of the cherry blossoms, but Shinjuku Gyoen has several earlier blooming varieties so we got to see some beautiful sakura!

We sat out on the lawn for a little while and enjoyed the nice weather.

Captain Picard also enjoyed the sakura in Shinjuku Gyoen a lot!

That weeping sakura was my favorite tree that I saw that day.

We spent an hour and a half or more in the park and then I looked around the Marui Annex stores a bit.

On the way to Shinjuku Station we passed that window display which I thought was very pretty.

Next we ate dinner at the Pom Pom Purin Cafe. Prepare yourself for lots of cuteness!
